Google is anticipated to release several smartphones shortly. Among the most anticipated devices are the Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a. While Pixel Fold is expected to be the company's first foldable smartphone, the Pixel 7a is anticipated to succeed the Pixel 6a and extend the Pixel 7 series, which debuted in 2017. Several leaks and reports have suggested at many key specifications and features of the upcoming Pixel device, and a new leak suggests that the phone will include an additional security feature compared to its predecessor.

SnoopyTech (@snoopytech) tweeted screengrabs indicating that the Google Pixel 7a will likely include a Face Unlock feature, in addition to the standard biometric sensor, for added security. Face Unlock is also available on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices. According to previous reports, the Pixel 7a is anticipated to feature the same G2 Tensor chipset as the 7-series phones.

The Google Pixel 7a will presumably cost $499 (approximately Rs. 40,900) in the United States, which is $50 (approximately Rs. 4,100) more than its predecessor, the Google Pixel 6a, which debuted last year. According to reports, the price increase can be attributed to the utilization of improved or ostensibly superior raw materials.

The Pixel 7a's SoC, which is presumably the second-generation Tensor chip, will reportedly be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, according to rumors. The phone is anticipated to ship with Android 13 preinstalled.

The Google Pixel 7a could be available in Charcoal, Snow, Sea (light blue), and Coral, with the latter presumably being a Google Store-exclusive. In addition, it is anticipated to feature a 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and 5W wireless charging. The phone is anticipated to be unveiled on May 10 during the Google I/O event, and it will likely be available for purchase promptly afterward.
