YouTube Premium Users Get New Features Including Enhanced 1080p HD Video
YouTube Premium Users Get New Features
YouTube has released a number of new features for premium users on iOS and Android apps, such as the ability to add videos to a queue, view content together via Meet live sharing/shareplay, support for 1080p HD video, and smart downloads. These capabilities are exclusive to Premium subscribers. The Smart Downloads feature will allow users to continue viewing videos on multiple devices from the point where they left off. In addition, the Shareplay feature on iOS will allow users to view content with their family and friends via FaceTime, and Android users now have Meet Live Sharing with a similar capability.
YouTube announced several new features in its most recent blog post, including queuing videos to accommodate live sharing, intelligent downloads, and enhanced 1080p HD video support on iOS. Subscribers to YouTube Premium can now access these features.
Beginning with the Queue feature, it enables users to construct a temporary list of videos they wish to watch next, similar to what is available on YouTube.com. Users can also rearrange or remove videos from the queue.
The next notable feature is YouTube's Meet Live Sharing capability for Android Premium users, which enables users to view YouTube videos with family or friends via Google Meet. In the coming weeks, iOS users will also have access to a comparable feature on FaceTime via SharePlay. Please note that only the host needs to be a Premium subscriber to utilize this feature.

Additionally, YouTube now allows users to continue viewing content across devices from where they left off. This indicates that even if a user switches devices, the content can be resumed from where it was left off. The feature is accessible via Android, iOS, and the Internet. And with the clever downloads feature, the recommended videos can be viewed offline.
In addition, the video streaming platform has introduced an improved version of 1080p video quality for iOS, resulting in crisper and clearer videos. The standard 1080p streaming quality is already available to all users, but this new enhanced version is exclusive to Premium users.
