Zee Music Renews Deal With YouTube, Meta
As part of the deal, users can continue to use Zee Music's entire catalogue to create multiple social experiences across YouTube, Meta platforms.
Friday, Zee Music Company, a division of media company Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL), announced the renewal of its licensing agreement with Facebook's parent company, Meta, and YouTube.
The agreement with two of the world's largest digital content-streaming companies will give them access to over 11,000 recordings from Zee Music's catalog, according to a statement.
As part of the agreement, users can continue to use Zee Music Company's entire catalog to create a variety of social experiences on YouTube and Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, the company said. The inclusion of the most recent music libraries from India will allow users and YouTube Shorts creators to remain abreast of the most recent musical trends and styles.
YouTube is one of the largest digital content platforms due to its vast user base, and the ongoing collaboration will enhance the music experience for its users. In addition, songs on short format video platforms are frequently given a new lease on life when picked up by multiple prominent creators, resulting in renewed interest and increased popularity, according to the statement.
The music collection of Zee Music Company has already received over 290 billion views across its YouTube channels, which have over 130 million subscribers.
